On January 15, 2010, at 8pm, Aaron Matthews and members of the Ortiz family will be presenting MY AMERICAN GIRLS in Williamstown, Massachusetts.  The screening is part of a series of events centered around Junot Diaz's The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

In honor of Latino heritage month, on October 1, 2009, MY AMERICAN GIRLS will be shown at Elizabethtown College.  Aaron Matthews and members of the Ortiz family wil be in attendance.

O.W. HOUTS & SONS, INC., a new short film by Aaron Matthews and Richie Sherman, is currently playing at  film festivals.  The film takes a lyrical look at the final business day at Houts, an iconic, family-owned general store, shutting its doors after 88 years.

This Saturday, October 4th at 2pm, MY AMERICAN GIRLS will screen as the main event for a statewide multicultural conference at Bloomsburg University, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.  The Ortiz family will be in atttendance.

On August 31, A PANTHER IN AFRICA will begin broadcasting on PBS's Global Voices series, the first original series to launch on PBS WORLD. The 26-week series brings North American audiences internationally themed documentaries made by U.S.-based and international filmmakers. PBS WORLD is a new channel featuring documentary, public affairs and news programming from public television’s award-winning signature series and acclaimed independent filmmakers.

THE PAPER has been selected to receive a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award.  The CINE Golden Eagle awards, distinguishing excellence in professional, independent and student works, are recognized internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in filmmaking and videography.

A PANTHER IN AFRCA will show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's "Afro Punk Festival" on July 4 at 1:30 pm.
